Addis Abeba, Dec 8 (Prensa Latina) Ethiopia''s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said once again that the anti-corruption campaign in the country is impartial, without political or ethnic motivations, as some groups suggest.

It happens that many of those arrested or close to them have seen their seemingly unlimited power fall apart overnight and that is intolerable for them, of course, when comfort and privileges are at risk, Ahmed added.

Leaders of the People's Front for the Liberation of Tigray, one of the parties making up the ruling coalition, accused the government of not promoting justice and respect for the law in the raids that in recent weeks that led to the arrest of generals and leaders at national level.

That faction controlled the political and economic spheres before the prime minister took office last April, when he began a process of reforms that tackled, among other things, public institutions marred by scandals of misappropriation and mismanagement of resources.
